To celebrate the two-year anniversary of White Walls, Max and Otis brought the community together through a friendly ‘knock-out’ pool tournament, on a quiet Wednesday evening in October. A night of shooting balls, chalking cues and saying thank you to everyone that has supported the team so far. A new t-shirt design was available for guests of the evening at a discounted price, with everything being sold out as Jani potted the last ball, claiming his prize and the winning title.
Seeing everything come together was inspiring; it’s hard to believe that the idea came from three mates playing pool in an old country pub almost three months beforehand, but it did. The months that followed consisted of preparation and initiation, from creating coasters to printing chalk designs, the attention to details was paramount.
The intention was to make everything perfect.
Naturally, there were challenges – Max and Otis had no experience hosting a pool tournament! But within the mayhem on the night, there were moments of taking in everything the duo had created. It was moving to see how many people have become part of the brand in one way or another, all of which got to know each other at a buzzing Pool Club in Waterloo. For something that started as two best mates with an old vinyl cutter, a heat press, some old clothes, and a vision to build a community around meticulous fashion. White Walls continues to grow in the right direction, 2024 promising to be the best year yet.
